Acton Children's Business Fair!
Hello friends! Happy 4th of July! I hope all of you are enjoying your Independence Day. I am very thankful that I live in this country where I have the freedom to pursue my dreams of “Baking to make people happy”.
Recently, I was able to do just so by being chosen to participate in the Acton Children's Business Fair.
For this event, my sister was my business partner/barista for the day. She was a BIG help! She even hand painted the Hoops by Nana logo onto our baseball caps.
My mum had found this cute box that had said “Don’t be afraid to take a few whisks”. We both really enjoyed the pun! I had used that as my tool/money box.
For the display, I made some signs,
and a runner for the table with the Hoops by Nana logo.
(If you would like to know how to make the table runner, I can write a DIY in a future blog post if you are interested. Just let me know in the comment box below.)
I got to meet many talented kid entrepreneurs. I also met a very kind vlogger who recorded our stand. Meeting her was actually a very funny story because my sister had offered her a sample of our donuts and she had apologized because she “coincidentally” can’t have gluten. I remember telling her “It’s your lucky day”.
I had so much fun at the business fair and learned so much from it! Seeing people smile whilst having the donuts made me so happy. Some people told me they don’t even like donuts but enjoyed mine. Some of my friends and family came as well. That was very sweet of them! I am also happy to say that my sister and I won 2nd place in the business competition portion of the fair.
As always, I am so very grateful for all your support.
